Once downloaded just run to download fully and install

Java install sometimes errors!
Errors include:
1. 'Internal Error 2753. regutils.dll'
2a. 'This software has already been installed on your computer. Would you like to reinstall it?'
Upon clicking 'Yes' you receive:
2b. 'This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.'
3. More errors stated here: http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/top_issues.xml
Very annoying! But there is a Fix :)
Firstly in 'Task Manager' > Processes Tab. Kill any/all running Java processes eg. java, jqs, javaws etc
Then just download this Java Fix tool > JavaMSIFix.exe and run it. (Download File near middle of that page)
More (technical) info HERE
----------------------------
Then re-run the newest Java update
Or download the entire Java (offline) update and run that:
----------------------------
Once Java is finally installed properly!
I'd suggest downloading/running JavaRa to remove any older versions of Java:
----------------------------
In the unlikely event the above doesn't work!
I'd suggest running a quick updatedscan with free Malwarebytes first:
Making sure to remove all found Malwares then restart and try again.

It would be interesting to hear if this helped anyone? :)

Hi.
Go to Start>computer>C/drive>program files
Right click and delete the java folder
Restart the computer and install the new java
Have you installed it to another partition ?
i.e., D:Program FilesJava

LH,mfletch....I have tried everything you said. This is where I'm at now. I have my Sun Java Console. My Java Coffee Cup is working, but telling me there is an update that I can't find. Java(TM)6 update 3, Java(TM)6 update 20. While searching I found KB article 929637. I followed instructions until I got to 'export, backup' then delete. I don't know how to 'exort and backup???. KB 929637 is a hotfix download from Microsoft that looks too involved for me.
Download the latest version from here and install it,
